King is a Full American buckskin tobiano pinto.

King injured himself in a freak accident in September 2005. He tore his fetlock 90 degrees to the left ripping ligaments clean off the bone, leaving small bone fragments loose and crushing blood supply to the hoof.

King was shown in paddock condition at a few shows in 2006/07. He won Supreme and Champion at his last MHAA Feature Show. We scratched him from the 2007 States and Nationals as his fetlock wasnt 100% right.

King will return to the show ring this season. After months of paddock rest, he is looking and feeling better then ever and we are excited to be able to show him again. He wont be worked, simply pulled out of the paddock and shown in halter. First show in September!

Show career tragically cut short

King injured himself in a freak accident in September 2005. He tore his fetlock 90 degrees to the left ripping ligaments clean off the bone, leaving small bone fragments loose and crushing blood supply to the hoof. He was in surgery within an hour. He front leg remained in plaster for 6 weeks. The plaster was then replaced with thick bandaging. The heavy bandaging had to be changed twice a week to assess the skin condition underneath, the injury and to ensure the bandage was providing sufficient support. His bandaging was completely removed in April 2006 and he was released into the paddock for the first time since September 2005.

King was shown in paddock condition at a few shows in 2006/07. He won Supreme and Champion at his last MHAA Feature Show. We were unable to work him at all so he was literally shown straight out of the paddock. As of January 2007, he is experiencing ongoing worsening problems with the joint so he has been scratched from all shows for the rest of the season, including the States and Nationals.
